VINTAGE 1980s Ellen Designs *signed* Golden Rhinestone Lion’s Head Doorknocker Earrings
Fashioncraft was founded by designer Robert Levy, David Jaffe and Irving Landsman. In 1979 the name was changed to Ellen Designs for Robert Originals and in 1984 it became simply Ellen Designs. There were a wide variety of leaves and animals used in their jewelry designs which are now highly collectible.
Goodbye designer keyrings, hello designer earrings! After a period in the fashion wilderness, the past few seasons have seen costume jewelry leap back on to the catwalks, encouraged by the rise of multiple ear piercings across the generations. With the revival of vintage clip on earrings, worn by women with pierced ears on not, it’s easy to remember that earrings can add sparkle to your complexion and eyes, as pieces like these have been doing for decades!
These extremely rare doorknocker earrings are from our Lion’s Head collection, they’re in excellent vintage condition (clasps work perfectly), highly detailed and look like new! The rhinestones are crystal clear in the hoops, as are the ones embellishing the eyes. They’re highly polished, glamorous and chic!
These earrings measure 1.75″ in length
