Hobé Cie was founded in 1887 by goldsmith Jacques Hobé. His son William established an American offshoot of the company in 1927. That put Hobé at the beginning of the American costume-jewelry boom between the two world wars. By the 1940s and ’50s, Hollywood stars such as Bette Davis and Ava Gardner were wearing Hobé. Their exquisite costume jewelry is now highly collectible for these reasons. We are presenting a pair of Hobé Pearl Clip-on Earrings which are in excellent vintage condition with clasps working perfectly. They feature one large South Sea pearl, surrounded by twelve smaller pearls, in a circular, gold linked, chain setting. These pieces are perfect for your ‘something old’ wedding heirloom, and would make a spectacular gift!
These pieces are signed Hobé, measure 1.25″ in diameter and weigh .25 oz. each
