“Yardwork’s For The Birds” Danecraft Brooch from our Vintage 1980s Collector’s Jewelry Collection
In 1934, Victor Primavera Sr. founded the Danecraft Corporation in Providence, RI. In the 1940s Danecraft began manufacturing a large amount of silver jewelry and silver beads with varied exquisite designs often inspired by nature. In the 1980’s, the company continued to expand and diversify their jewelry designs and production by creating jewelry and silver beads in various classifications. Their costume jewelry of sterling silver and gold metal content was sold in better department stores throughout the USA and other vintage pieces like this one are now highly collectible.
This lovely Danecraft, nature inspired piece from their “Whimsical & Novelty Pins“ line, features three charms; a rake, a basket of overflowing leaves and a gardening glove dangling from the words ‘Yardwork’s For The Birds’ in a playful font, in an antiqued gold finish, and finally a sweet little black enameled bird house. This brooch would make an excellent gift for garden lovers or an excellent addition to your own heirloom jewelry collection.
This piece is signed Danecraft, measures 2″L x 2.5″W and weighs .7 oz.
