Austrian Crystal Encrusted Gold Plated Bracelet by LANVIN PARIS ~
Jeanne Lanvin had just turned 22 and finished her apprenticeship when she opened her first hat shop in 1889 on the mezzanine of 16 rue Boissy d’Anglas. Even at that young age, the milliner was already enchanting with her talent. She expanded her business to include designing for children, men and women’s haute couture. Jeanne Lanvin’s crowning point came when she obtained a commercial lease on the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and established her eponymous fashion house. Her success was instant and Parisians would flock to “Lanvin.” Despite the war, Lanvin participated in the 1915 International Exposition in San Francisco. The success of this exposition allowed Jeanne Lanvin to establish herself in the United States on a longterm basis. To this day her creations are highly collectible and therefore very rare.
Here we present one of the most stunning bracelets ever presented by Lanvin. It features a beautiful star with dashes of crystals strategically placed to create the illusion of a illuminated, twirling starburst. The gold plating is both matte and highly polished and is embellished with clear, Austrian crystals. This piece is signed LANVIN PARIS, measures 7″L x 2″W and is in excellent vintage condition.
