Simulated Pearl and Pave Crystal Encrusted Cream Enamel Dangling Oval Earrings
Vendome was a high-quality line that succeeded Corocraft, in business from 1944 to 1979, operating as a subsidiary of Coro. The name origins in Parisian jewelry trade center Place de Vendome, specialized in the production of luxury jewellery for the rich clientele. Indeed, the jewellery designers used high quality materials, such as rock crystal from Austria and Czechoslovakia, sparkling artificial pearls and enamels, metal with gold or silver plated, clear and colored perspex. In 1953, the company separated from Coro, and existed until 1979. Vendome jewelry was made with brilliant, high-quality European stones and beads in delightfully unique designs with rich enameling and some with articulating pieces like this beautiful pendant necklace.
These earrings have amazing, brown topaz colored pave crystals with a perfect simulated pearl sitting in the center of these unique designs which rest on the center of a cream colored oval drop. They dangle elegantly from golden posts which have posts which are slightly on the small side. These exquisite pieces are in good vintage condition showing light signs of wear consistent with well cared for vintage jewelry, they are signed VENDOME and measure 2.25″L x 1.25″W.
